Heavy medium coagulation sedimentation process (magnetic coagulation)
The heavy medium coagulation and sedimentation process is a new type of water treatment process independently researched and developed by the company. It is commonly known as “magnetic coagulation and sedimentation process”. At present, the company has established the first domestic heavy water powder production line for water treatment. The process is an extremely rapid precipitation technique in which the inert high-density microparticles are used as flocculation nuclei to aid in the formation of flocs. The heavy medium provides high concentration and high density flocs that act as ballast or weighting to accelerate the precipitation process. Compared with the traditional process, the process has the advantages of good phosphorus and organic removal effect and small footprint.
Scope of application: municipal (industrial) sewage treatment plant upgrading, chemical special wastewater dephosphorization, black and odor river treatment, storm water treatment, low temperature and low turbidity water treatment, etc.
Principle introduction:
The heavy medium coagulation and sedimentation process (PWT-DLCSTM) is a kind of extremely fast sedimentation technology, also known as magnetic coagulation process, magnetic medium coagulation and sedimentation process, and heavy medium powder is also called magnetic powder. The technology adopts micron-sized (300-500 mesh) inert high-density heavy medium powder particles (Fe3O4 powder) as flocculation nucleus to form high-concentration and large-density composite flocs under superior hydraulic conditions, and the composite flocs are in the pole. The precipitation process is completed in a short time, so that the water body is quickly purified. The main pollutant removal indicators are SS and TP, and the removal rate is 80%-99%. Under the economical dosage, the effluent SS and TP can be controlled at 5-6mg/L and 0.2-0.3mg/L, respectively. It has a certain removal effect on COD, and the removal rate is 20-60% depending on the characteristics of organic matter. The process has strong impact load resistance.
The heavy (magnetic) medium separation process mainly utilizes the combination of flocs and heavy medium (high density) particles, as shown in Fig. 1, to increase the floc density, thereby completing the precipitation process in a very short time. In the engineering design, the design value of the flow velocity on the sedimentation tank can reach 15-20 m/h. Therefore, the process unit covers only 80-120 m2/m3, which is only 25% of the unit land of the advection sedimentation tank. -35%, 30%-60% of the floor area of the inclined tube/plate sedimentation tank.

2. Huai'an Development Zone Wastewater Treatment Plant
Treatment scale: 80000 m3/d, the industrial water represented by chemical wastewater in the influent water accounts for about 70%, the influent TP concentration is high, and the biochemical section process is CASS process, the effluent water volume fluctuates greatly, and the peak value reaches 6000m3/h. The impact on the original biochemical secondary sedimentation tank is large, the effluent SS and TP are not up to standard, the conventional coagulation and sedimentation process can not stably guarantee the water output index, and the available land area in the plant area is insufficient, so the heavy medium coagulation sedimentation is adopted in the design.
